Are Your Tires Ready for the Road?

Worn or unevenly worn tires hurt your handling, your fuel economy and, most importantly, your safety. Arizona heat and hot pavement wear tires faster than most drivers expect.

We inspect tread and pressure, handle tire rotation and wheel balancing, patch repairable punctures, and take care of tire installation when it is time. Pairing wheel balancing and alignment can help promote even tire wear and extend the life of your tires. For tire service in Phoenix, AZ, we help keep your tires in good condition and ready for the road.

We service tires on Lexus, Infiniti, Cadillac, Lincoln, Genesis, and Mazda vehicles, as well as every other make on the road in Phoenix.

“Safe tires and a proper alignment are two simple ways to protect your family and your investment.”

Tire Repair in Phoenix You Can See for Yourself

Most tires wear out early from neglect, not age. In this video, George shows a tire rotation and balance. It’s quick, routine service that adds thousands of miles to a set of tires on Phoenix roads.

Every Tire Service Starts With an Inspection

Before we touch anything, we:

  • Check tread depth, air pressure, and sidewall condition
  • Look for nails, plugs, and uneven wear

A nail in the tire can usually be repaired with a proper tire patch and plug from the inside, but damage near the sidewall cannot be repaired safely. We show you exactly where it is and tell you the truth. From flat tire repair and nail in tire repair to TPMS sensor replacement and wheel balancing in Phoenix, every tire service is done by our certified technicians.

What Your Tires Are Telling You

These three signs point to three different problems:

  • A TPMS light:low pressure, or a failing sensor that needs tire pressure sensor repair.
  • A shake at highway speed:usually a tire balancing issue.
  • A tire that keeps losing air:a slow leak from a nail or a bead seal.

Uneven wear often traces back to alignment or front-end wear, and cupped wear to worn shocks and struts. A shake that only appears when braking points to your brakes, and when tread or dry rot passes the point of repair, it is time for new tires. A rotation fits neatly with every oil change.

SIGNS YOU NEED TIRE SERVICE

Stay alert to these common warning signs – fix them early and save on bigger repairs.

1

Tires wearing unevenly

Worn or unevenly worn tread reduces grip and can signal an alignment or suspension issue.

2

Car shaking or pulling to one side

Shaking at higher speeds or drifting to one side usually means your tires need balancing, rotating, or an alignment.

3

Tire keeps going flat

If a tire keeps losing air, it may have a leak that can be fixed, or it may need to be replaced.

4

Cracked or dry rotted tires

Arizona heat dries out rubber over time. Cracks on the sidewall mean a tire isn’t safe anymore, even if there’s tread left.

Tire Repair in Phoenix, AZ and Complete Tire Services

Your tires are your only contact with the road, and looking after them is a job Pete Kelley’s handles right for vehicles all across Phoenix, AZ. Whether it is a tire rotation and balance, a tire plug repair, or tire mounting and balancing on a new set, our technicians inspect tread and pressure and pair every service with an alignment check, fixing only what your vehicle actually needs.

Worn or unevenly worn tires hurt your handling, fuel economy, and safety, so catching wear early matters. Arizona’s extreme heat and hot pavement wear down tires faster than most drivers expect, which means tires often need closer attention here than in milder climates, making regular inspections especially important for Phoenix drivers.

We use quality tires and service built to withstand Arizona’s heat and demanding driving conditions, keeping your vehicle protected year-round. Every visit covers tread and pressure inspection, TPMS service, and an alignment check, so you get a complete picture of your tires’ condition, not just a quick look. Drive with confidence – our tire services are backed by a 24-month/24,000-mile warranty on both parts and labor, so you’re protected long after the service is done.

Not sure if your tires need attention? Common signs include low or uneven tread, vibration or pulling while driving, a slow leak or repeated low pressure, or cracking from sun exposure – if you’re noticing any of these, our team is happy to take a look and let you know exactly what’s going on.

FAQs

How often should I rotate my tires?

Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, which lines up with most oil changes. Regular tire rotation in Phoenix evens out wear between front and rear tires and helps the whole set last longer.

Usually, if the puncture is in the tread area and no larger than about a quarter inch. Punctures in the sidewall or shoulder can’t be safely repaired. The proper repair is a patch-plug installed from inside the tire, not just an outside plug.

Tire rotation and balance cost depends on the wheel size and whether all four wheels need balancing. A rotation alone is one of the least expensive services we offer. We tell you the price before we start.

The most common cause is unbalanced tires. Other causes include a bent wheel, a damaged tire and worn suspension parts. Tire balancing usually fixes it, and we inspect further if it doesn’t.

Use the pressure on the sticker inside your driver’s door, not the maximum on the tire, and check it when the tires are cold. Heat raises pressure as you drive, so don’t let air out of hot tires. Pete Kelley’s checks tire pressure with every tire rotation in Phoenix and every oil change.
